Diamond Blades
Diamond blades will be used as part of the first step in the crack repair process. These blades are attached to a 4 1/2" angle grinder. They will be used to chase the crack and prepare them for the crack repair epoxy.
The crack will be chased first with the v-groove blade. The v-groove blade should be pushed to a depth of 3/8" to 1/2". This will remove any loose debris along the crack and provide a wider surface for the epoxy to bond to.
The crack will then be chased again with the 1/8" blade. This blade should be forced into the crack an additional 3/8" to 1/2" deep, providing a total depth of 3/4" to 1". This will allow the epoxy to flow farther into the crack to provide a stronger bond for the crack repair.
The v-groove blade is a 4" blade and can be attached to a 4 1/2" angle grinder. It can be used to chase cracks, widen control joints and detail decorative concrete products. It costs $131.25.
