Any time you take on an acid stain project, you will need to seal the surface. Concrete sealer will bring out the true, vibrant colors of the acid stain. It will also provide a good surface for wear and tear. A solvent based concrete sealer will work best for outdoor applications, while a water based concrete sealer will be better for indoor applications. If a skid resistant surface is needed so that the concrete will not be slippery when wet, then Rhino Grip can be added to the sealer before it is applied to the floor.
