Concrete Curb Marketing Techniques and Products

Learning the proper concrete curb marketing techniques and using the right products is a vital part of your landscape curbing business. Some of the most successful ways to market you business is through having a booth at a home and garden show, passing brochures at the show and in neighborhoods where you want to work and by having a web site.

Home and Garden Shows

When marketing concrete curbing, it is important to remember that you are selling a very visual product. That is why home shows and brochures work so well. Home shows are great because your potential customers can see, touch and feel the curbing. It is important to design a home show booth that is interesting and inviting.

You can make your booth interesting by creating a landscape. Pour curb along one side of the booth and along the back. Then put pretend grass or green carpet in front of the curb and bark mulch and potted plants behind the curb. That way your customers will see what the curb looks like in a landscape setting.

It will also be more interesting if you have samples of other decorative curbing in your booth. You can build a stand for the samples or put them on the floor. Be sure to also have some pictures of work that you have done along all the walls of the booth. You will also need a table in your booth to put concrete curb brochures on so that your customers can take information home with them.

Your booth will be more inviting if you put your table off to the left or right front of the booth. If the table is off to one side, you customers will feel like they are more welcome to walk into your booth. If the table is at the front of the booth, customers who don't want to come into your booth will still be able to take a concrete curb brochure home with them and call you at a later time.

Concrete Curb Brochures

As mentioned above, concrete curb brochures can be handed out at home shows. Another good form of concrete curb marketing, and one of the best forms of target marketing, is to canvas neighborhoods where you would like to work. Pass the brochures door to door, leaving them half-way under floor mats or hanging them from door knobs. A good way to hang brochures from door knobs is to staple a rubber band to the brochures.

Brochures should always be printed on glossy paper and in full color. The more attractive the brochure is the more likely the customer will be to keep the brochure for future reference. Curbmate offers three styles of brochures that have been very effective through the years.

Web Sites

Another good form of concrete curb marketing is to purchase a web site. Web sites are a great way of getting business and pre-selling your customer. Curbmate affiliate, Global Web Pro , has created 5 different templates for the curbing business. Web sites are a great place for customers to look at the products and services that you offer without feeling sales pressure. When a customer has looked at your web site and then calls you for an estimate or to do a job, they are already presold and will be more likely to purchase curbing from you. Remember to put your web site address on all of your marketing materials. Put it on your business cards, brochures, bid sheets, truck and trailer and yard signs.
